US Pipeline & Market Access Strategy Director

As the US Pipeline & Market Access Strategy Director, you'll report to the Head of Global Market Access Strategy & Implementation and be a vital part of the Global Market Access & Pricing organization. Accountabilities:
- Develop a strategic framework to evaluate and provide US pricing & access assumptions for global commercial forecasts, in-line, pipeline, and business development.
- Lead collaboration with cross-functional leaders to provide US Market Access insights to Global development plans.
- Align with US stakeholders on guidance and forecast assumptions for major US market trends.
- Serve as the subject-matter expert on US market access for GMAP and global BBU functions.
- Horizon scan to anticipate US Healthcare System and/or Policy changes.
- Advise on US pricing, access, and reimbursement potential based on disease states and market dynamics.
- Partner with HEOR and medical teams to generate US-specific evidence plans.
- Develop an Access Pipeline Playbook for AZ’s pipeline launch planning.
- Collaborate with Global Oncology Market Access & Pricing for alignment on US assumptions.
- Connect with MASI team peers in EUCAN and China to share best practices.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 10 years of extensive pharmaceutical/biotech Market Access or related experience:
- US/Global Market Access essential
- Strategic planning
- Portfolio prioritization
- Pipeline market access strategy development
- Cross-functional stakeholder engagement
- Experience in evaluating target product profiles and providing strategic mentorship.
- Experience in conducting business development & licensing due diligence.
- Experience interpreting and modeling market access and pricing data.
- History of performance in managing towards business objectives.
- Proven track record of managing business challenges and making trade-offs.
- Supervised record of building productive work relationships with stakeholders.
- Track record of demonstrating initiative and strategic capabilities.
- Strong project management skills.
- Previous experience of successfully leading a matrix team.
- Ability to manage multiple, concurrent work streams in diverse functions.
- Strong analytic skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Second degree preferred, e.g., Masters, MBA, PhD.
